A teenager who died in a Fallbrook Street and was run over at least once early Tuesday has been identified as Alfonso Martinez.

The Medical Examiner’s Office said the 17-year-old boy apparently was struck by a vehicle in an accident, and died of blunt force injuries.

A security guard ran over the boy about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday on East Fallbrook Street and stopped to notify authorities, the California Highway Patrol said. Officials said the boy was already lying in the road when the guard hit him.
