Deputy seriously injured in motorcycle crash

Alcarion is assigned to the downtown San Diego County courts complex, sheriff's officials said.
Michael Alcarion, 28, was traveling west when his motorcycle hit the back of a Nissan near Euclid Avenue shortly after 7:00am. Alcarion fell onto the roadway and was run over by a semi-truck. He was then transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital for treatment of major trauma.
