One person was killed and two people seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision in West Oakland Friday evening, according to police.

Investigators did not have a description of that person, but were checking the area for surveillance video.
The three-vehicle collision happened at 14th and Adeline streets at approximately 5:00 p.m. when a man in his 40s who was a passenger in a Chevrolet pickup was killed. The driver of that truck was transported to the hospital in stable condition and a adult female passenger remains in critical condition. A woman driving in a Audi sedan sustained minor injuries. The driver of a Saab hatchback fled the scene.
