Pedestrian struck, critically injured by vehicle near Panhandle on Thursday morning

Following the collision, nearby residents took to Nextdoor.com, a private online social network for neighborhoods, and aired their frustrations with the intersection.
A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while in a crosswalk in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury neighborhood Thursday morning. He sustained critical injuries. The male victim was hit around 9:45 a.m. at the intersection of Masonic Avenue and Oak Street. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
