Four hurt in crash in East San Jose

Four people were injured in a two-car crash in east San Jose Tuesday night, police said. An adult male passenger and a juvenile male passenger were also taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. Just before 5 p.m., a silver BMW sedan was speeding eastbound on Aborn Road when a white Toyota Prius began to turn southbound on Alessandro Drive, according to San Jose Sgt. The BMW clipped the Prius, Guggiana said, sending the Prius into the center of the intersection and the BMW careened into a traffic light, causing serious damage to the car. Guggiana said while the cause of the crash was still under investigation, witnesses told police the driver of the BMW ran a red light.
