One person is dead after a single-car crash on Highway 84 near Sunol, according to California Highway Patrol. The accident was reported just before 7 p.m. on westbound Highway 84 east of Interstate 680 near Vallecitos (Little Valley) Road. Witnesses told CHP the driver of a 2007 Toyota Corolla drifted into the shoulder of the eastbound lanes, lost control, and crashed into a fence before finally striking a tree. The driver was later identified as Jacky Lo of Fremont.
