Rancho Santa Fe family sues over fatal plane crash
The lawsuit said Martz issued a mayday call to Point Magoo Naval Air Station about 10:10 p.m. on Aug. 6, saying the plane was leaking oil that spread across the windscreen, and that the cabin and cockpit were smoking. Radio contact then broke off.
Two men died in plane wreck in a remote area of Southern California. The pilot was 58-year-old David Martz and his passenger was 56-year-old Greg Bacino.
