2 killed, 1 injured in Weld County crash involving pickup, tractor-trailer near Ault

Troopers said the Dodge pickup ran a stop sign and was struck by the semi carrying a load of logs.  Two of the three people inside the pickup died at the scene and the other person was transported to an area hospital.

Two killed, one hospitalized in Weld County accident

According to the Colorado State Patrol, the truck, traveling east on Colorado 14, struck a Dodge pick-up truck or sport-utility vehicle that did not yield at County Road 31.

The female driver and a female child, a passenger in the vehicle, were killed, according to the CSP. A male adult passenger was taken to the Northern Colorado Medical Center with serious injuries. The truck driver was uninjured.

A crash between a tractor-trailer and pickup left two people dead and one person injured. The wreck occurred just after 5 p.m. on Highway 14 at Weld County Road 31 west of Ault. The driver of the semi truck was not injured.
