One woman seriously injured, transported to hospital, after her bicycle is struck by a car, driven by Dale Campbell, 52, who was arrested, at the intersection of 12th Avenue and Bannock Street in Denver.

A woman has been hospitalized with serious injuries after being hit by a driver Wednesday morning.

The woman was riding her bike at 12th Avenue and Bannock Street when a man driving a car went around a vehicle that was stopped at a light and hit her in the bike lane.

The driver, who police identified as Dale Campbell, 52, allegedly kept going but a witness followed him and was able to identify him for police a few blocks away.

Campbell was taken into custody and is being held for investigation of vehicular assault and leaving the scene of an accident.
