Passenger in Good Samaritan vehicle killed in Sixth Avenue crash

A passenger in a vehicle that stopped to help another driver retrieve a bicycle was killed Sunday night after the vehicle was rear-ended, the Lakewood Police Department said.

As for the men whose bike wasn’t properly secured to the rack, police said they won’t be cited. But their actions caused a catastrophic chain of events.

Blodgett told investigators he did not see the vehicle stopped on the highway because he was looking down to pick up a water bottle that was between his legs.

Elliott is identified as a counselor for the sixth grade in Wolf Point. KDVR in Denver says that Elliott moved to Wolf Point about two years ago.
