Authorities are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Delaware.
Person Fatally Struck By Train In Delaware
Authorities say the incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. and the train was going from Boston to Washington.
Delaware State Police say a man who was trespassing on the tracks was hit by a southbound Amtrak Acela Express train at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The accident happened near the Claymont station in Claymont, Delaware. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
