"It's unknown how fast the vessel was going, but it would have to be traveling at somewhat of a speed to force an individual to be ejected out of the vessel," said Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Stewart Ahearn.

One person was killed and two others injured after a boat crashed into a sea wall in Fort Lauderdale Saturday. One person, identified as Dalton Shirley, 24, died after being thrown from the boat. Justina Coronel and Austin Lail suffered serious injuries. They were transported to Broward Health Medical Center, where they are listed in critical condition. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
