Barrett Riley and Edgar Martinez, both 18, killed, and Alexander Berry, 18, injured in crash in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
The driver, Barrett Riley, and front-seat passenger, Edgar Martinez, were both 18-years-old. The backseat passenger, 18-year-old Alexander Berry, was thrown out of the vehicle after the crash and taken to a nearby hospital.
Their families’ show of support during the Saturday afternoon Mass that was attended by hundreds of their relatives and friends touched the Rev. Chris Reny, senior pastor of The Church by the Sea.
Edgar Monserratt and Esperanza Martinez de Monserratt allege in the lawsuit filed Tuesday in Broward County Circuit Court that the car’s battery was inadequately protected, making the whole vehicle defective.
