Woman, 20, dies in single-car crash in Southwest Ranches

A 20-year-old woman died in a single-car crash early Saturday while traveling along Interstate 75 in the area of Southwest Ranches, authorities said. It was not immediately known why she lost control of the vehicle. The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the deceased driver as Diana Alonso, of Hialeah. She was heading south on I-75 just south of Griffin Road when she lost control of her 2011 Nissan Sentra at about 3:15 a.m., FHP said. Her car left the roadway and rolled over along the left shoulder before striking a concrete wall support, authorities said.
