5 Killed in Jackson County Accident Sunday Afternoon
The driver and three passengers in the truck are University of Mississippi students who were coming home from the Ole Miss vs. Florida football game in Gainesville, according to WMBB News. All four men were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The agency says a pickup hit the car’s passenger side, ejecting an adult in the passenger seat and four children, ages 6 to 11, in the backseat. Turk was critically injured.

Those killed were listed as 43-year-old Lysander D. Smith, 7-year-old Quasander L. Turk, 11-year-old Kavargale D. Turk, 9-year-old Tymalique M. Turk, and 6-year-old Epiphanie L. Turk, all of Winder, Georgia. Critically injured in the crash was Sabrina L. Turk, 32, the driver of the Honda Civic in which all the fatally injured were traveling. Brennan J. Liu, 22, of Oxford, Mississippi, was the most seriously injured in that vehicle. The driver is identified as Kyle B. King, 22, of Oxford, Clark H. Johnson, 23, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Hannah B. Bounds, 21, of Oxford.

The Highway Patrol initially said Turk was driving the car but later issued an amended report saying it was not immediately clear who was driving.
Five people were killed in a crash Sunday afternoon on I-10 in Grand Ridge. The crash occurred around 4 p.m. when a Honda Civic heading eastbound on the interstate drove across the median and collided with a truck headed westbound. The driver of the Honda was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The other five passengers, including four children, were pronounced deceased at the crash site.
