Investigators Release Identification of Man Killed in Highway 231 Crash

BAY COUNTY-- UPDATE: 4:21 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol has released the name of the person killed in a multi-car wreck this morning on Highway 231 at Berthe Nelson Road. Investigators say 46-year-old Leroy Bernard Rygula of Fountain died in the wreck which happened about 7:30 Tuesday morning. Rygula was driving a van when he was hit from behind by a truck driven by 18-year-old Kyle Spencer Junger of Panama City. The force of the collision sent Rygula's van into the back of a third car stopped in front of him. The third car hit a fourth car, which was stopped in front of it. Investigators say charges against Junger are pending based on results of the ongoing investigation.
