Man Accidentally Shot Through Head With Spear While Diving Over Holiday Weekend

A 21-year-old Sarasota man who was accidentally shot in the head with a spear gun has been taken off life support. Sarasota Memorial Hospital released a statement from the family of Jarrod Ditmars confirming that their son had been removed from life support. The spear went through Ditmars' head. 'I told him I forgave him. He is very distraught,' Rob Ditmars, Jarrod's father, told WTSP-TV. He hopes to one day meet Dale. 'I am not upset with him, he made a big mistake diving where he shouldn't of been diving.
