Boise police officer involved in crash

The Ada County Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash that involved a Boise police officer Tuesday afternoon. A Boise police sergeant on scene said the officer was eastbound on Emerald Street. He was driving an unmarked pickup. The officer had a green light and entered the intersection at Curtis Road. The sergeant said a vehicle heading southbound on Curtis hit the pickup as the officer entered the intersection. The driver of the southbound vehicle was taken to a hospital to be evaluated for a head injury.
