Online Fundraiser Raising Money for Family of Man Killed in Trench Collapse

DEXTER, Iowa — An online fundraiser has been set up for the family of a man killed in a trench collapse. A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise money for the Jorgensen family. “Please help this family by giving donations. Altoona authorities say 30-year old Justin Jorgensen, of Colfax, was working in a nearly 12-feet-deep trench Wednesday morning when the walls caved in around him. Family members say the day Jorgensen died was his son’s fourth birthday. Initial reports suggest that required safety walls were not in place at the time of the collapse.
