Two people were injured in a crash early Tuesday morning in Cass County, Iowa.
2 injured in western Iowa I-80 crash
The state patrol said Guzman was driving when the Lincoln MKZ swerved on I-80 to avoid the animal, veered off the roadway into the I-80 median and went airborne down an embankment, with the front end striking the ground, before coming to rest in the west ditch of 770th Street.
Kelius Guzman was driving on Interstate 80 with passenger Jacob Grady when he swerved to avoid an animal in the road. The vehicle left the roadway and crashed into the median, then traveled down an embankment. Guzman was flown to a hospital by medical helicopter, and Grady was taken to a hospital by ambulance. No word on their condition. Both men were wearing seatbelts.
