Kansas City police on Friday identified a woman killed in a traffic fatality Wednesday on Interstate 70 as Tabitha Lappin, 32, of Kansas City.
Lappin was westbound near Pittman Road about 9 p.m. when traffic began slowing, police said. She abruptly changed lanes from the outside lane into the middle lane and collided with a semi tractor-trailer already in the middle lane. The truck smashed into the driver’s side of Lappin’s vehicle, police said. She died at the scene.
