Driver died from injuries following a single-vehicle crash near 86th Street and Riverview Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas

One person is dead following a car crash early Sunday in Kansas City, Kansas, according to police. Officers responded around 2:10 a.m. to the single-vehicle crash near 86th Street and Riverview Avenue, said T.J. Tomasic, a spokesman with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department. The driver and sole occupant was taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries.
