1 killed, 2 injured in Morris County crash

One person was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Morris County. The driver of the Ford truck, Glenna J. Ziegenhirt, 61, of Alta Vista, was reported injured and was taken to Morris County Hospital in Council Grove. The driver of the Nissan, Julia C. Fay, 19, of Emporia, was reported injured and was taken to Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka. Sunday just south of the K-177 highway and F Avenue intersection, about four miles southwest of Alta Vista. The patrol said all of those involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.
