One person was killed in a crash involving two vehicles on I-71 north in Henry County, according to a WHAS report. The Kentucky State Police confirmed one person was killed in the crash, but its cause and the identity of the victim is unknown at this time.

Officials said both vehicles left the roadway and the vehicle driven by Persanyi flipped. Persanyi was thrown from his vehicle and he was pronounced dead at the scene by the Henry County Coroner.

Persanyi began his career at General Butler as the park’s chef 13 years ago. Two years later, Persanyi was promoted to the dining room supervisor.
