20 students, bus driver taken to hospitals after JCPS bus collision

A JCPS spokeswoman said the bus was heading to Lee Lane Depot with 36 students on board when the accident happened.

"(I was) getting some coffee, and come back out front and I hear a big bang, and I looked out front and, like I said, one police car in front, and a school bus in the middle and a semi in the back crashed," Sailing said.

Multiple injuries reported in school bus, cruiser and semi accident

Around 8 a.m. on Feb. 6, crews were called to the scene of an injury accident involving a JCPS school bus, police car and a semi truck.
Twenty students and a JCPS bus driver were taken to hospitals with non-life-threathening injuries after school bus #0842 was rear-ended by a tractor trailer, causing the bus to rear-end an unmarked Shively police vehicle. All three vehicles were southbound on Cane Run Road at around 8:15 a.m. on Friday.
