One person is in the hospital and another is in jail after a two vehicle crash happened early on Sunday morning near the Graves County line. Deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff's Department were called around 2:45 in the morning about the crash. The investigation revealed that 23 year-old Tyler Raney of Mayfield, Kentucky was driving a 2008 Dodge Nitro truck north on Highway 1241 after stopping at a stop sign near US Highway 45. He then drove into the intersection and collided with a 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 65 year-old George Chamness of Creal Springs, Illinois. Deputies are unsure why he pulled into the intersection at that time. During the crash, a passenger in Raney's back seat, 23 year-old Andrew Shultz of Sedalia, Kentucky was ejected from the truck and landed a short distance away from the crash.
