Opelousas man killed in St. Landry Parish wreck and other Acadiana crime briefs for March 2, 2015

 It’s unclear whether alcohol played a role in the crash, but toxicology samples were submitted, David said.
Reginald Jenkins, aged 32, was driving north on Louisiana Highway 35 in in Opelousas, Louisiana last Sunday morning when for reason not yet known, failed to adjust to the road that curves left, crashing into a storage  building and ended up in a shallow canal, upside down. He died at the scene. The State Police is still investigating the accident and toxicology samples were submitted.
