A woman was killed in a pedestrian collision Saturday afternoon in Marrero. Tabatha Jablonski was pronounced deceased around noon Saturday after she was hit by a vehicle driven by Sheila Haggerty, 52. Haggerty was traveling north on Louisiana Highway 45 when her vehicle left the road, hit a sign, and traveled into a private parking lot where Tabatha Jablonski and her husband, David Jablonski, were walking and were struck. Both were transported to a hospital, but only David Jablonski survived. His current condition is not known. Authorities are trying to determine why Haggerty lost control.
