Game Wardens say 18-year-old Haley Cummings was a passenger on the ATV when it went off a gravel driveway into a ditch off Shepherd Road, according to the Kennebec Journal. The operator, 21-year-old Alexander Biddle of Pittston was taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries, we'€™re told. Officials say speed and alcohol appear to be factors. The crash is under investigation.

Woman dies in ATV crash in Sidney

SIDNEY, Maine '€” An 18-year-old woman from Sidney was killed in an ATV crash Friday evening, according to the Maine State Police. Police said the ATV, driven by 21-year-old Alexander Biddle of Pittston, was driven into a ditch at a high rate of speed, striking several trees. The passenger, Haley Cummings, was ejected from the ATV. Cummings was pronounced dead at the scene. Biddle was treated at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta for injuries that were not life threatening. According to police, alcohol appears to have been a factor in the crash.
