Car unintentionally rams through fence at Joint Base Andrews

Morningside Police Chief Amos Damron said that a woman in her 60s was driving down the exit ramp from the Capital Beltway to Allentown Road. She was seen slumped in the front seat by a witness. Her car drove through four lanes of traffic on Allentown Road, hitting one car, before plowing through the fence on the perimeter of the base.
A car crashed through a fence at Joint Base Andrews in an incident that police described as a car accident unrelated to the base’s activity. The driver was flown to a shock trauma center at a nearby hospital.
