Woman dies in Fort Washington crash

FORT WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A woman died in a car crash on Route 210 in Fort Washington early Saturday, according to the Prince George's County Police Department. A car traveling Southbound on Route 210 collided with another car traveling in the opposite direction. The crash happened around 3 a.m. when police say a car collided with another car on Route 210. Police say the crash happened after a car attempted to make a left turn onto Old Fort Road. The cause of the crash is still under investigation and the victim has not been identified.

WASHINGTON '€“ Retired Prince George'€™s County Deputy Fire Chief Carla D. Blue was killed in an early morning car wreck in Fort Washington early Saturday. The crash occurred at around 2: 30 a.m. on Indian Head Highway. Prince George'€™s County police say a vehicle traveling south on Indian Head Highway collided with another vehicle that was attempting to turn left. The other driver suffered non-life threatening injuries. Mark Brady, a spokesman for Prince George'€™s County Fire and EMS, said Blue retired in October 2009 after 20 years of service.
