Woman hospitalized after car is hit by train in Acton

Police spent several hours on the scene investigating what happened and how woman's car ended up on the tracks. Witnesses say the commuter rail train was heading toward Boston when it sent the car flying into the air.
The woman was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.  “The screech of the train was very loud, but I didn't actually hear the train it the car, it was very surreal, I only saw it,” witness Katie Harrington said. The car flipped twice before coming to rest upside-down, according to another witness, Tony Caggiano. “The windows broke, I just cut the air bags and they blew out and I saw the lady. I asked her if she was OK and she said ‘yeah, I'm OK.”
