Colin Kerkstra, 20, of Wyoming, and his passenger, Kylee Christian, 17, of Grand Rapids suffered serious injuries when Kerkstra struck the vehicle of 70-year-old John Pierce and his passenger 72-year-old Nancy Pierce, each of Lowell. The Pierces had minor injuries in the 9 p.m. crash that happened at the intersection of Cascade Road and 28th Street SE
