A Sherwood man speeding away from a Branch County incident and a woman mowing her yard were both killed when the man's vehicle left the road and struck the woman.

Members of her family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 13 at Schipper Funeral Home, 308 S. Blackstone Ave. in Colon. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
