Girl dies in hit-and-run crash in Aitkin County

Investigators want to talk to the driver of a white Ford pickup truck pulling a white fifth-wheel camper with black trim.

The pickup was in the area and the occupants might have witnessed the crash, the State Patrol said.

The driver of the pickup or anyone else with information about the crash should contact State Patrol Lt. Adam Fulton at (218) 318-3025.

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. on June 10 to call Lt. Adam Fulton at (218) 316-3025 with any information about the incident or if they saw Donovan before the crash, according to a news release.

Steven L. Meier, 45, was sentenced Friday in Aitkin County District Court after pleading guilty last month to criminal vehicular homicide for killing Caylin Donovan, of Lake Park, Minn., in June 2016 about 10 miles from Garrison.
