2 killed in car-dump truck collision in northern Minnesota

BRAHAM, Minn. (AP) - Two people are dead after their car collided with a dump truck in northern Minnesota. The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened just after noon Monday at the intersection of state Highways 65 and 107 in Isanti County. According to the patrol, a Ford Fusion traveling west on Highway 107 had stopped at the stop sign and was trying to cross Highway 65 when it collided with a northbound dump truck. A patrol spokeswoman say the woman driving the car and her male passenger were both dead at the scene. The man driving the dump truck was not hurt.

The car was crossing Highway 65 from westbound Highway 107 when it collided with the dump truck that was headed north on Highway 65, according to the state patrol. The crash that happened near Highways 65 and 107 near Braham and involved a dump truck and a car. Two people were killed in a crash in Isanti County on Monday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The driver and passenger of the car were both killed, according to the state patrol. According to an accident report, Marjorie Ripperton, 78, was driving a 2011 Ford Fusion with Glenn Houtkooper, 84, as a passenger. They were traveling west on Highway 107 when they stopped at a stop sign at Highway 65. When they attempted proceed through the intersection to continue west, but were hit by a dump truck traveling north on Highway 65.
