According to the Montana Highway Patrol the five people were headed west on Highway 12 around 9 p.m. Thursday, June 19. Their truck collided with a Three Forks fire engine headed eastbound.

The Jefferson County Sherrif's office released the names of the five people killed in an Thursday crash east of Helena.
Beartooth NBC reports the victims are Crystal Ross, 30; Matthew Boegli, 29; Breighton Boegli,4; and Peighton and Maddison Boegli both age 3.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol the five people were headed west on Highway 12 right around 9:00 p.m. Thursday the 19th. Their truck collided with a Three Forks fire engine headed eastbound.
Both of the vehicles burst into flames. Three Forks Fire Chief Todd Rummel was also killed in the crash.
