Kuhr said UM administrators have been in contact with Kallen's family. She says councilors at UM's Curry Health Center are available for students who need of support.

Parker said Kallen played center for the team, and was like a little energizer bunny, managing to score 5 goals in one game a few weeks ago, a personal record. 

Pedestrian killed on I-90 ID'd as UM student

The UM Dean of Students has been in contact with the family, and counseling is available for students at the Curry Health Center.

UM student hit and killed by semi on I-90 Friday

Westbound lanes were shut down for several hours following the incident.
For reasons unknown, Kallen was on I-90 at about 2:20am on-foot and suddently stepped into the path of a westbound semi-truck, dying from the impact. The truck driver was not hurt in the accident. Kallen was a junior at the University of Montana. We will update this accident as more information is released.
