One man and a 32-year-old woman injured, she critically, both transported to hospital, after a motorcycle collides with a vehicle on Lake Mead Boulevard in Las Vegas.

An early morning accident closed both directions of Lake Mead Boulevard near Pecos Road Monday. The crash occurred shortly after 4 a.m.

Police say a motorcycle with two people on it and a vehicle were traveling eastbound on Lake Mead, when they collided. The male driver of the motorcycle sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The 32-year-old female passenger on the motorcycle was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition.

Police say the car started to leave the scene, but officers stopped it before it traveled far. Officers detained the driver. Police say alcohol may be a factor.
