Metro officer hospitalized after Laughlin wreck

A Metro police officer was hospitalized and a police car sustained "major damage" in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Laughlin, according to Las Vegas police. Saturday at Bruce Woodbury and Thomas Edison drives, about 100 miles south of Las Vegas, Metro spokesman Officer Jesse Roybal said. A Metro police vehicle was T-boned by a citizen vehicle just after 8 a.m. There was major damage to the police vehicle, Roybal said. It was not immediately clear who was at fault in the wreck or whether the driver of the non-police vehicle will be cited or charged in the crash, Roybal said.
