Mother, Daughter Drown While Kayaking On Delaware River(link is external)

DELAWARE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) '€” Authorities say a northwestern New Jersey woman and her adult daughter drowned after their kayaks overturned on the Delaware River. Hunterdon County prosecutors say authorities received a report around 8:15 p.m. Prosecutors say the women '€” 45-year-old Doris Rake and her 19-year-old daughter, Katheryn Haney, both of Raritan Township '€” were experienced kayakers. The other woman was found on the Pennsylvania side of the river, but both of them were pronounced dead a short time later. Friday that two kayakers were in distress in the waterway, just north of Bull'€™s Island State Park.
