Police: Bicyclist Killed In Hit-And-Run InPleasantville

PLEASANTVILLE, N.J. (AP) '€” Authorities say a bicyclist has been killed in a hit-and-run in southern New Jersey. Pleasantville police Captain Danny Adcock told the Press of Atlantic City that the unidentified 37-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning. The man was found lying in the road. Police ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.

Police are searching for the driver who struck and killed a man in Pleasantville, New Jersey.The incident happened around 5:00 a.m. Saturday between Chestnut Avenue and New Road.Police said the victim was traveling westbound on Black Horse Pike when he was struck by a vehicle.The vehicle did not stop, leaving the victim severely injured, police said.The man's body was found lying in the right lane of the roadway with a bicycle nearby. He was pronounced dead at the scene.His identity is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.The vehicle in question is possibly a maroon color, and should have damage to the front, lower portion of the bumper.Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Lt.
