Route 130 reopens after crash involving school bus, car in South Brunswick

Route 130 has been reopened in South Brunswick on Thursday morning hours after two people in a vehicle were seriously injured in a crash with a school bus on Wednesday evening, police said.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Route 130 and Stults Road about 5:30 p.m. and involved a South Brunswick Board of Education bus, police said.

The victims, who are 86, 87 and 90 years old, were in a Toyota Camry when police say the driver attempted to make a turn from Route 130 onto Stults Road when it crossed in front of an oncoming school bus.

Prosecutors: 3 people killed in South Brunswick crash involving school bus

Authorities say a Toyota Camry hit the school bus as the car made a left turn onto Stults Road. The car was occupied by Ellen Brotman, 86, Alba Olivencia, 87, and Wilson Olivencia, 90, all of Monroe Township. All three sustained serious injuries and died at the scene of the accident.
