Investigation into drowning of City of Deming Lifeguard
There was a drowning involving a City of Deming lifeguard.
Deming Fire Department, Deming Police Department, and the Luna County Sheriff’s Office were on scene and arrived at the within 3 minutes of receiving the call.
City Releases Official Report on the Drowning at the Aquatic Center
Officers with DPD and a Deputy with the Luna County Sherriff’s Office were on the scene within 3 minutes. All officers on-scene immediately dived in and were able to bring Wertz to the pool deck, where DPD and Deming Fire Department began CPR.
