Walter Weiser, 65, struck and killed by a hit-and-run motorist while changing his tire on Old Little Britain Road in the Town of Newburgh, New York

Officers found the victim, Walter Weiser, 65, of Monroe, unconscious in the roadway. Attempts to revive him were not successful and he was later pronounced dead. Police said it appears the victim may have been struck by a passing vehicle that did not stop.
