One person is dead after a head-on crash on Route 22 in the Town of Patterson Wednesday, police said.

A 2003 GMC pick-up truck, operated by Christopher C. Osborne, Jr., age 42, of Pawling, New York, was traveling northbound on State Route 22. A 2015 Subaru Forester, operated by Mario L. Riccobon, age 65, of Carmel, New York, was traveling southbound on State Route 22. Investigation revealed that Osborne crossed over the double yellow lines into the southbound lane and struck the Subaru head-on. A passenger in the Subaru Forester, 63-year-old Jean Riccobon, of Carmel, was pronounced dead at the scene by Transcare. Mr. Riccobon was transported to Danbury Hospital with injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.
