Konowich was ejected from the motorcycle and was taken by Vinall Ambulance to St. Elizabeth's Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Toyota SUV that Konowich hit, 38-year-old Catherine Lumbrazo, of Creek Road, Oneida, was stopped at a stop sign on Stone Street. A large work van was also driving east on Lenox Avenue and was making a right turn onto Stone Street at the time of the crash.
