Man charged in deadly Gaston Co. crash

A man involved in a deadly car crash in Gaston County has been charged. Thomas was driving her 1993 Honda Civic with 61-year-old Sherman Thomas and an 11-month-old baby inside when she collided with a Mr. Dalpiaz turned in front of Samantha Thomas and she attempted to stop, leaving 28.5 feet of skid marks, before colliding with Dalpiaz's vehicle. The crash happened on West Garrison Boulevard at South Vance Street around 1 p.m. Samantha Kay Thomas, 34 of Kings Mountain, was killed in the crash.
