One killed, four injured in crash at Meck, Lincoln Co line

The two-vehicle crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on Highway 73 near the Lincoln County Bridge. One person was killed and four others, including a child, were injured in a vehicle accident in Huntersville Tuesday, according to officials. Four other victims were taken to Carolinas Medical Center with very serious injuries. Police told WBTV one of the victims was a child, but did not give further details. Medic confirmed that one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say a Toyota Scion, carrying a baby, teen and adult, was traveling eastbound on Highway 73 when the driver lost control and crossed the center line. A teen was killed and four others, including a baby, were injured in a wreck in Huntersville Tuesday night, according to officials. Police say everyone involved in the crash was properly restrained with a seat belt or car seat.
