2-vehicle crash on Ward County gravel road kills Plaza woman

A Plaza woman is dead after a two-vehicle collision on a Ward County gravel road. The 33-year-old New Town woman driving the pickup was taken to a Minot hospital with undisclosed injuries after the crash shortly before 4:30 p.m. The Highway Patrol says the 26-year-old woman was driving a car that was struck by an oncoming pickup truck that lost control while passing two vehicles. 

Plaza Woman Killed in Traffic Crash

A Plaza woman was killed in a traffic accident in rural Ward County yesterday afternoon. The Highway Patrol reports the 26-year-old woman, whose identity has not been released, was driving an SUV that was slammed into by an out-of-control pickup truck. The SUV's driver tried to avoid the pickup, but the truck slammed into the driver's door of the SUV, killing its driver. The accident happened about 4:15 Wednesday afternoon four miles north of Makoti. The driver of the pickup was injured and taken to Trinity Hospital in Minot, but there's no report on the extent of her injuries.
